Getting
started.

Everything you need in one short page. If something isn't here, write to us and a person will answer.

Getting started

  1. Download Revive and run the installer. Windows asks for permission once.
  2. On first launch, Revive asks who this PC is for: Everyday, Creator, Developer or Work / IT. This sets the checks, the tools and the look. You can change it later in Settings.
  3. Press the orb on the home screen. That's it.

Your first check

Pressing the orb checks the PC, then walks you through a short tune-up guide, one step at a time: quick fixes first, then things worth a closer look, then things only you can change.

  • Scan only, change nothing looks and reports, and changes nothing.
  • Quick scan skips the short processor load test, for when you're in a hurry.
  • Autopilot in Settings decides what runs by itself. Cautious changes nothing without your click; Balanced runs low-risk, reversible fixes; Full also runs medium-risk fixes such as service changes.

A restore point is made before any change. Antivirus is never turned off, and your files are never touched.

Undo

Every change Revive makes is recorded in History. Settings, startup and service changes have an Undo button. Deleted temporary files can't come back, and Revive tells you so before it clears them. Focus, Render and Build mode put every setting back exactly as it was when you switch them off.

Ask and Voice

Open Ask and type what's bothering you, like “Why is my PC slow right now?”. Revive looks at what's happening, explains it, and may suggest a fix. Nothing changes until you tap Apply.

To talk instead, press the mic, or hold Ctrl + Alt + V in any app. You can also turn on the “Hey Revive” wake word in Settings; it listens on your PC only. Ask and Voice come with every paid plan and need an internet connection.

Activate a licence

  1. After you buy, your licence key arrives by email from Lemon Squeezy, our payment partner.
  2. In Revive, open Settings, find Your plan, choose Have a licence key?, paste the key and choose Activate. This needs an internet connection.
  3. The mode you bought unlocks straight away.

A licence works on 2 PCs at a time. Lost your key, or moving to a new PC? See Your licence.

Troubleshooting

Windows says “Windows protected your PC”

That's SmartScreen being careful with a newer app. Choose More info, check the publisher reads Revive, then Run anyway. More on the download page.

A fix didn't help, or made something worse

Open History and press Undo on that change. If it needs a restart to settle, Revive says so. You can also use the restore point Revive made before the change.

Ask or Voice doesn't answer

Check you're online, and that your plan includes Ask and Voice. On a work PC, your IT team may have turned AI off; the checks and fixes still work.

The microphone isn't heard

In Windows Settings, open Privacy & security > Microphone and make sure desktop apps are allowed to use it.

“This key is already in use”

The key is active on 2 PCs. Remove it from one in Settings, or see how to move it.

Something else

Email hello@revive.example. It helps to say which Windows version you have and what you were doing.

For IT

Revive installs per machine and runs silently with /S. Group Policy templates (ADMX) cover every setting: report-only mode, turning AI off, allowed and blocked fixes, the highest autopilot level, an audit log path and fleet reports.

:: Install and uninstall
Revive_<version>_x64-setup.exe /S
"C:\Program Files\Revive\uninstall.exe" /S

:: Scan or fix without the window (fix must run elevated)
revive.exe --headless scan --quick
revive.exe --headless fix

:: Example: report only, with an audit log
reg add HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Revive /v ReadOnly /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
reg add HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Revive /v AuditLogPath /t REG_EXPAND_SZ /d "%ProgramData%\Revive\audit.jsonl" /f

For Intune, wrap the installer as a Win32 app, install as System, and detect C:\Program Files\Revive\revive.exe. The full deployment kit, with the ADMX templates and the fleet dashboard, comes with a Work / IT plan.
