The short answer
If you want a free tool that clears browser data and temporary files across many apps, CCleaner does that well. If your PC is slow and you want to know why, with the safe fixes made for you and a way to undo them, that's what Revive is for.
Side by side
| Revive | CCleaner | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $5 once (₹449 in India); Pro is optional | Free version, plus paid plans |
| Clears temporary files | Yes, and says first that they can't come back | Yes, including browser data |
| Registry cleaner | No, on purpose | Yes, with an offer to back up first |
| Startup apps | Ranked by how long each one really delays your boot | A startup manager under Tools |
| Drivers | Read-only check; never installs drivers itself | Driver updater in the paid version |
| Undo | Every recorded change in History; a restore point before system changes | Registry backup before registry fixes |
What Revive does differently
- It looks for the cause. One click checks startup apps, services, memory, disk, heat, battery, drivers and security settings, then fixes the safe things.
- It steps in on its own. When an app freezes, memory runs low or the drive fills up, a small glass notch at the top of the screen tells you and offers a fix.
- It explains errors. On-device AI turns a confusing error message into plain words.
- Everything is recorded. Settings, startup and service changes can be undone from History, and your own files are never touched.
What Revive doesn't do
Revive has no free version, doesn't clean the registry, doesn't install drivers and isn't an antivirus. It runs on Windows 10 and 11 only. If you need any of those, it isn't the right tool, and that's fine.
